Current Office Hours:
Monday: 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
Tuesday–Thursday: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM (every other saturday)

Altamesa Dental is an established private dental practice looking for a skilled, dependable, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team.

We use an assisted-hygiene model designed to help our hygienists work efficiently while staying focused on patient care. Our hygienists have support from a dedicated dental assistant who helps seat patients, take X-rays, turn over operatories, and keep the clinical day moving smoothly.

We are looking for someone who provides excellent clinical care, communicates well with patients, and takes pride in doing things the right way.

What You’ll Do

• Provide prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and preventive care
• Perform periodontal assessments and accurate charting
• Educate patients about their oral and periodontal health
• Help patients see and understand their condition using X-rays and intraoral photographs
• Identify areas of concern and communicate findings effectively with the doctor
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Work effectively within an assisted-hygiene model
• Help create a calm, professional patient experience
• Collaborate with the doctors and clinical team to provide high-quality care

Dedicated Hygiene Assistant Support

Our hygienists are supported by a dedicated assistant who helps with:

• Seating patients
• Taking X-rays
• Operatory setup
• Operatory turnover
• Keeping rooms stocked and prepared
• Helping maintain an efficient clinical flow

This allows the hygienist to spend more time focused on clinical care, patient education, periodontal treatment, and communication with the doctor.

What We’re Looking For

• Active Texas Dental Hygiene License
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable educating patients about periodontal health
• Professional, positive, and patient-focused
• Comfortable working efficiently in an assisted-hygiene environment
• Open to feedback and continued learning

One year of RDH experience is preferred, but motivated new graduates are welcome to apply.

Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred, but not required.
