Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of dental hygiene practices. As a key member of our dental practice, you will be responsible for providing preventive oral health services, educating patients on proper dental care, and supporting the overall clinical operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all patients.

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols and radiation safety standards.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations to promote optimal dental health.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring documentation review and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Implement infection control procedures by practicing aseptic techniques and managing sterilization of dental tools and equipment.

Skills

• Proficiency in using EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and medical records management.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Expertise in dental x-ray techniques, including taking intraoral and extraoral images safely.
• Familiarity with dental equipment operation, maintenance, and infection prevention management practices.
• Ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while demonstrating excellent client communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: From $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 27.0 per week
