Registered Dental Hygienist (Part- Time)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (Part-Time) interested and available anytime between Mon-Thursday & Saturdays to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, supporting the clinical team, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Duties

• Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review.
• Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays and other diagnostic procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in EMR systems such as Dentrix Ascend.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations.
• Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Support pediatric & adult dentistry procedures, including patient assessment and behavior management.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient experiences.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, or similar EMR systems.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical coding.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry, including pediatrics-specific patient care strategies.
• Skilled in vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and documentation review.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting with competence in dental assisting techniques.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology relevant to dental practice.
• Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection prevention protocols, and general dentistry procedures.
