Registered Dental Hygienist

Overview

We are seeking a bilingual Chinese Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team at Garfield Health Center. This is a part time position that requires traveling to our different clinics in Monterey Park, Rosemead, and Rowland Heights.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and stain removal.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations and office protocols.
• Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately.
• Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive treatments as appropriate.
• Provide patients with personalized oral hygiene instructions and education.
• Review medical and dental histories and identify relevant health concerns.
• Monitor and document periodontal conditions and treatment progress.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Follow all infection-control, sterilization, and safety procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Assist the dentist and dental team as needed.
• Build positive, professional relationships with patients and help create a comfortable patient experience.
• Follow applicable state regulations, OSHA standards, and practice policies
• Participate in peer reviews and attend staff meetings
• Travel to other GHC’s Clinics when coverage is needed

Requirements

• Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
• Dental Hygiene Certificate from an accredited program
• Registered Dental Hygienist License
• Radiation Certificate
• BLS

Location/ Schedule

• Cover at our various clinics in Monterey Park, Rosemead, and Rowland Heights
• 24-32 hours per week, 8 hours per day from 8:30am to 5:30pm

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
