Registered Dental Hygienist

We are a very busy dental office looking for a RDH for PRN or part time. The preferred applicant would be reliable, hardworking, friendly, and a team player. Must be able to multitask while staying focused and providing exceptional patient care. Must have Alaska license.

Office Hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm with rotating Fridays

Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including but not limited to teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique
- Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

Experience:
- Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental software for patient management and charting
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record medical history information
- Proficient in infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and safe environment
