Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care while creating a positive and comfortable experience for patients.

Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Procedures

• Perform periodontal exams, screenings, charting, and scaling and root planning (SRP).
• Expose, develop, and interpret dental radiographs.
• Perform oral cancer exams and update patient medical histories and records.
• Apply preventive and therapeutic agents such as sealants, fluoride, Arestin, and Oraquix.
• Administer local anesthesia if properly licensed/certified.
• Monitor sedated patients and assist with clinical procedures as needed.

Patient Education & Counseling

• Educate patients of all ages on proper home care techniques, oral hygiene, and preventive care.
• Provide nutritional counseling and medicament counseling, including chlorhexidine, fluoride, and dry-mouth remedies.

Department & Administrative Support

• Support the Hygiene Department, help coordinate schedules, and assist with patient flow.
• Maintain clean and sanitized treatment rooms, stock hygiene supplies, and manage instrument sterilization.
• Assist with answering telephones, scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and pulling charts when required.
• Support compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain equipment maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
