Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent dental disease.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to ensure safe and effective treatment.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention protocols.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits.
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) using Eaglesoft , ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Follow strict infection control procedures, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to uphold safety standards.

Skills

• Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for documentation and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care tailored to pediatric patients in a compassionate manner.
• Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during patient treatments.
• Ability to accurately perform X-ray procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care documentation review.
• Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations; maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
