Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety while adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
• Provide dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral health.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Document patient care accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice policies.
• Assist in infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment, including sterilization of instruments.
• Support pediatric dentistry efforts by providing gentle care and reassurance to younger patients.

Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment techniques and documentation review.
• Knowledgeable in infection control protocols within a dental setting.
• Experience in general dentistry practices with a focus on pediatric dentistry is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a dental office team while maintaining professionalism.
• Familiarity with dental assisting tasks is an advantage but not mandatory.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
