Registered Dental Hygienist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive preventive dental services, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to prevent oral disease.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral health status.
• Assist in the administration of local anesthesia and other procedures under the supervision of the dentist.
• Capture and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology while adhering to infection prevention protocols.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Manage infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, maintaining a clean clinical environment, and adhering to healthcare infection prevention standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow in the office.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist within a busy dental clinic
• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology
• Comprehensive understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare safety standards including HIPAA compliance.
• Experience performing dental x-rays, vital signs measurement, and patient assessment procedures.

Pay: $44.63 - $53.75 per hour
