Registered Dental Hygienist

FLEXIBLE P/T opportunity for a Dental Hygienist to join our high-powered and fun team! Our private Dentist-Owned, high-quality general family practice in Pojoaque NM is growing and we need an additional RDH to see patients, from 1 to 3 days/week, with flexibility to choose the days you work and the number of hours! A full schedule would be Wed, Thurs, Fri, 8am -5pm.

Dr. Ferreira is easy-going, fun, and his patients love him! Staff also tend to stay with Dr. Ferreira for years. For 25 years Dr. Ferreira has built a reputation for exceptional gentle dentistry and a team that offers helpful, personalized service. We are a family practice gifted with the opportunity to watch children grow up and now serve their children. Our practice consists of mostly adults and older adults; we see few children. Patient care consists of mostly adult prophys, with some perio maintenance, and SCRP with some new patients Our patients come from the Pojoaque area or are employed by LANL, the state, or the schools. Our practice is fully digitized using Dentrix, digital Xrays, AI, digital scanning for lab work, and voice actuated perio charting to make your job easy.

RDH duties include

• Preventative treatment adult prophys, polishing, and fluoride, some perio maintenance, and SCRP with some new patients.
• Patient education and Oral Hygiene instruction
• Updating medical histories
• Taking appropriate Xrays
• Documenting exams and treatment planning with Dr. Ferreira
• Scheduling patient next visit
• Maintaining hygiene instruments, including sterilizing and re-stocking
• Preparing and cleaning dental operatories, seating patients as needed

We are a small but hard working team looking for a RDH who is friendly, possesses a positive attitude, is a real team player, and is reliable. Bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus!
