Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our private dental practice, working Tuesday through Friday. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. This position offers a dynamic environment where your skills in dental hygiene, patient assessment, and infection control will make a meaningful difference in our patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
• Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing dental records with accuracy and professionalism
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health habits
• Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, and intraoral cameras while maintaining proper infection prevention protocols
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) with meticulous documentation of treatment notes, medical history updates, and procedural details in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Ensure infection control standards are upheld through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and adherence to healthcare infection prevention guidelines

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures
• Proven experience working in a private dental office or clinic setting with proficiency in dental terminology and equipment operation
• Familiarity with Dentrix for documentation and record management
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly about their dental care needs while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards
• Commitment to infection prevention practices and maintaining a clean, safe environment in accordance with healthcare regulations

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.0 – 36.0 per week
