Registered Dental Hygienist

We are a premier dental practice in Wellington dedicated to clinical excellence and elevated, patient-centered care. We are seeking a compassionate, high-caliber, and self-directed Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team.

In this role, you will be much more than a clinician providing preventive therapy—you will be an essential partner in comprehensive diagnosis and patient education. We are looking for an autonomous hygienist with a warm, caring demeanor who utilizes modern diagnostic technology (intraoral photos, digital radiography, and 3D intraoral scanning) to help patients clearly understand their oral health needs and confidently accept doctor-recommended treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Exceptional Preventive & Periodontal Therapy: Deliver thorough, gentle prophylaxis, scaling and root planing (SRP), and periodontal maintenance tailored to individual clinical needs while keeping patients relaxed and comfortable.

Diagnostic Imaging & Digital Records: Capture clear, high-diagnostic digital radiographs (bitewings, FMX, pan/CBCT) and comprehensive intraoral photography on every recare and new patient.

Intraoral Scanning & Wellness Checks: Perform routine 3D intraoral scans for occlusal evaluations, wear tracking, restorative treatment planning, and aligner consultations.

Treatment Co-Discovery & Case Acceptance: Use visual aids (intraoral camera photos and scans) chairside to walk patients through conditions like cracked teeth, leaking margins, and periodontal disease—paving the way for the doctor's exam and actively helping close restorative and periodontal treatment.

Autonomous Schedule & Operatory Management: Maintain appointment pacing, manage room turnover, sterile processing, and instrument maintenance independently without falling behind.

Accurate Charting & Clinical Notes: Record periodontal charting, hard tissue findings, home-care recommendations, and detailed clinical notes seamlessly within the practice management software.

Qualifications & Requirements

Licensure: Active and unrestricted State of Florida Dental Hygiene License (RDH).

Certifications: Active Florida Local Anesthesia certification required and current CPR certification.

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with digital sensors, intraoral cameras, and intraoral digital scanners (3Shape). Proficiency in modern dental software (e.g., Open Dental).

Communication & Personality: Warm, empathetic, and naturally kind, with the ability to build trust instantly and communicate restorative needs without high-pressure sales tactics.

Autonomy: Highly proactive with excellent time management—able to lead the hygiene department smoothly and independently.

Pay: From $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
