Registered Dental Hygienist

EXCELth, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Dental Department.

This is an opportunity to provide high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care while making a meaningful difference in the oral health of the communities we serve.

Our Dental Hygienists work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and other members of the healthcare team to provide patient-centered care in a supportive community health environment.

What You'll Do

As a Registered Dental Hygienist with EXCELth, you will:

Perform oral prophylaxis and preventive dental hygiene services.

Perform scaling, periodontal debridement, and root planing as clinically indicated.

Assess patients' oral health, including periodontal condition, caries risk, and relevant medical and dental history.

Obtain and document diagnostic dental radiographs.

Apply topical fluoride and other preventive agents as appropriate.

Educate patients on oral hygiene, brushing and flossing techniques, nutrition, periodontal health, disease prevention, and recommended home care.

Help patients understand the connection between oral health and overall health.

Support dentists in implementing preventive and periodontal treatment plans.

Document treatment, clinical findings, patient education, and recommendations accurately and timely.

Support patient recall and continuing-care activities.

Follow established infection-prevention, sterilization, patient-safety, and OSHA protocols.

Collaborate with the dental team to provide an efficient, welcoming patient experience.

Participate in dental health education, prevention initiatives, and community outreach activities as assigned.

Support quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives within the Dental Department.

Travel between EXCELth locations when needed to support patient-care and operational needs.

What We're Looking For

Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.

Current, unrestricted Louisiana Dental Hygienist license.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Strong clinical dental hygiene and periodontal-care skills.

Excellent patient education and communication skills.

Commitment to compassionate, respectful, patient-centered care.

Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Local anesthesia and other applicable permits are preferred when appropriate to assigned duties.

Previous dental hygiene experience is preferred, but qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.
