Registered Dental Hygienist

The Edgar County Public Health Department and Dental Clinic is looking for a dynamic RDH to join our dental team. Regular dental clinic hours are Monday - Thursday, 40 hrs/week. Flexible hours available M-Thursday.

Duties include:

• Perform dental hygiene preventative care, including routine cleanings, periodontal treatment, radiographs, fluoride, and sealants.
• Assess patients' oral health and provide oral hygiene education
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
• Ensure proper sterilization of instruments
• Preventative community oral health education opportunities and outreach events

Qualifications

• Hold a valid dental hygiene license for Illinois
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
• Proficiency in using dental instruments and equipment
• Excellent communication skills to educate and interact with patients
• Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with dentists and other dental professionals

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
