Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on optimal oral health practices, and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately using dental imaging equipment.
• Assess patient health by measuring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health.
• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to uphold safety standards.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
• Proven experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and providing care for pediatric patients preferred.
• Skilled in chairside assisting, patient care, patient assessment, and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
• Experience with general dentistry procedures, medical imaging, X-ray techniques, and infection control practices.
• Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $42.00 - $52.00 per hour
