Registered Dental Hygienist

We are a professional periodontal practice with two convenient locations in Midtown Manhattan, dedicated to providing exceptional periodontal care and a positive patient experience. We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about periodontal health, patient education, and preventive care, and enjoys working in a collaborative, patient-focused clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and polishing.
• Assess periodontal health, evaluate periodontal pocket depths, and document clinical findings.
• Review medical histories, assess vital signs, and identify relevant health considerations.
• Take dental radiographs in accordance with clinical guidelines and New York State regulations.
• Educate patients on periodontal disease, oral hygiene techniques, and individualized home-care recommendations.
• Provide patient-centered care to individuals with periodontal disease and support ongoing periodontal treatment.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Dentrix Ascend.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, sterilization, infection prevention, and control protocols.
• Work closely with the periodontist and clinical team to ensure efficient workflows and excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Dental Hygienist license.
• Strong knowledge of periodontal disease, dental anatomy, and preventive dental care.
• Experience with periodontal maintenance and scaling; periodontal office experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Familiarity with digital dental radiography and electronic dental records.
• Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus.

Pay: From $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 24.0 per week
