Registered Dental Hygienist

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to fill a maternity leave, attentivity beginning of December through beginning of June. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the overall oral health of our patients. Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral examinations for patients
- Take digital x-rays
- Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality

Requirements:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in NY
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and medical imaging
- Proficient in taking vital signs and documenting medical records
- Familiarity with dental anatomy and terminology
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team environment.
