Job Overview
We are a small, family-oriented dental office based in Covina, CA, proudly serving our community since 2007. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our practice, you will work closely with all members of the team to provide high-quality care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional dental care in a friendly and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Room Preparation: Properly set up treatment rooms, ensuring all required instruments and dental materials are properly laid out.
• Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about procedures.
• X-Rays & Imaging: Take digital dental X-rays (both intraoral and extroral) as required, ensuring proper protocols and safety measures are followed.
• Clinical Support: Provide chairside assistance, manage dental materials, and anticipate the dentist’s needs during various procedures. In addition, candidate must know how to fabricate chairside provisional restorations.
• Instrument Sterilization & Maintenance: Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive practices and post-operative care.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow, providing excellent care and a positive patient experience.
• Office Cleanliness: Maintain overall office cleanliness, including treatment areas, waiting rooms, and staff areas, ensuring a neat and safe environment for both patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant certification (RDA) required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency in Open Dental management software is a plus.
• Experience is using intraoral 3D scanner is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
• Willingness to listen and learn!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
