Key Responsibilities

Chairside & Clinical Support:

• Provide proactive chairside assistance to both doctors and dental hygienists during exams, procedures, and cleanings.
• Select, prepare, and set up clinical instruments, equipment, and materials tailored to each case.
• Expose and capture high-quality digital dental X-rays.
• Fabricate and place temporary provisionals (crowns and bridges) with high competence.
• Take accurate alginate impressions.
• Perform basic lab tasks, including pouring stone and trimming models.
• Deliver clear, comforting, and thorough post-operative instructions to patients.

Infection Control & Equipment Maintenance:

• Sterilize instruments and strictly adhere to Texas infection control and OSHA protocols.
• Disinfect and seamlessly turn over operatories between patients.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including autoclave protocols and cleaning operatory suction traps.

Office Operations & Facility Care:

• Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment rooms and clinical inventory.
• Share responsibility in maintaining overall office cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and restocking restrooms as needed.
• Maintain precise, complete, and confidential patient treatment records in compliance with HIPAA.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the State of Texas (Required).
• Certifications: Current X-ray certification and current CPR certification (Required).
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of dental assisting experience (Preferred). Must be competent in making provisionals and taking alginate impressions.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Languages: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
