Registered Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dental Assistant to join our fun, busy, advanced dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
• Adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. We use a NOMAD device.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Assist hygiene with perio charting and sterilizing rooms as needed.
• Utilize Itero and Cerec for imaging as needed during dental procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow.

Experience

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
• Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices.
• Experience with dental coding and documentation is beneficial but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
