Registered Dental Assistant

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) plays a key role in delivering exceptional general dental care within our fast‑paced, patient‑centered practice. We are looking for a skilled, compassionate professional who excels in chairside assisting, maintains rigorous infection control standards, and supports seamless clinical operations. Duties & Responsibilities

• Chairside Assistance: Support the dentist during a wide range of procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric treatments.
• Operatory Preparation: Set up treatment rooms with required instruments and materials while maintaining strict aseptic and infection control protocols.
• Dental Imaging: Capture X-rays and 3D scans following all HIPAA, radiation safety, and documentation guidelines.
• Patient Intake: Accurately record vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information using EMR systems.
• Documentation Management: Enter and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
• Patient Education: Deliver clear oral hygiene guidance and post‑treatment instructions to patients and parents.
• Sterilization & Supply Management: Sterilize instruments, manage clinical inventory, and maintain a clean, organized operatory.
• Four‑Handed Dentistry: Perform efficient four‑handed assisting techniques to support smooth workflow.
• Pediatric Support: Provide specialized care and reassurance to pediatric patients, ensuring comfort and cooperation.
• Team Communication: Use accurate dental and medical terminology to communicate effectively with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant Certification: Current and valid RDA credential.
• Clinical Experience: Previous dental assisting experience in general or pediatric dentistry.
• EMR Proficiency: Familiarity with EMR systems such as OpenDental.
• Infection Control Knowledge: Strong understanding of aseptic technique, sterilization, and safety standards.
• Dental Specialties Understanding: Working knowledge of prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dental procedures.
• Chairside Skills: Ability to assist efficiently in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• HIPAA Compliance: Solid understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality regulations.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages, especially children.
• Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and reliability.

Pay: $22.00 - $29.92 per hour
