Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments using aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
• Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient care.
• Provide dental terminology explanations to patients and assist with medical documentation and coding for insurance claims.
• Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure.
• Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; experience with 3D scanners is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members across specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics. Pay: $27.10 - $32.64 per hour
