Registered Dental Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dentists during patient procedures, ensure a high level of patient care, and help maintain an efficient and organized clinical environment. This role is essential to delivering a positive patient experience and high-quality dental services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals)
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA and CDC guidelines
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required
• Prepare patients for treatments and ensure their comfort throughout procedures
• Record patient medical histories and update records accurately
• Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and common areas
• Manage dental supplies inventory and restock as needed
• Schedule appointments and assist with front desk duties when necessary
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
• Current Dental Assistant certification (e.g., DANB) preferred or required per state regulations
• X-ray certification (as required by state)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
