Registered Dental Assistant

As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional support to dentists and patients alike, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and comfortable dental experience. Your role will involve assisting with clinical procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality.

Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of general dentistry procedures ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection prevention management protocols.
• Take dental X-rays, including CBCT imaging and scanning with a digital scanner, while adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
• Manage patient flow by greeting patients, verifying vital signs, updating medical documentation, and ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
• Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments processing and ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly for chairside assisting.
• Educate patients on oral health care practices, dental terminology, and post-treatment instructions to promote optimal patient management and care.
• Follow dental sterilization procedures to uphold infection control standards within the clinic environment.
• Support the dental team by managing appointment scheduling through patient management software and coordinating follow-up care for patients when necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure or certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with demonstrated experience in general dentistry.
• Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental sterilization procedures.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, ability to work efficiently within a team.
• Commitment to clinical confidentiality policies while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
