We’re Hiring: Public Health Field Assistant

Three to four days per week

Our clinics serve schools, community centers, nursing homes, medical offices, and more, bringing dental care to patients of all ages.

Who we’re looking for

Our ideal candidate brings dental knowledge, a positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong desire to learn. You should:

• Be reliable and available three to four days per week.
• Be flexible with start times, clinic locations, and provider needs. Some days are 8–10 hours due to travel.
• Work independently, take initiative, and follow through.
• Be a strong team player who knows when to lead and when to follow direction.
• Be comfortable working with various provider personalities, communication styles, and clinical preferences.
• Pay close attention to detail and keep patient information, paperwork, equipment, and supplies accurate and organized.
• Understand the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality in a healthcare setting.
• Ask questions when something is unclear and welcome feedback.
• Have a clean driving record and be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Be kind, compassionate, and patient, work well with children, and feel comfortable supporting people of all ages and backgrounds.

A typical day

You’ll arrive at our main office in Lewiston, pick up your equipment and company vehicle, and travel to the scheduled clinic location. Clinic hours follow each site’s schedule. Some sites start earlier than others, so flexibility with start times is imperative.At the site, you’ll serve as the main point of contact for the site contact, dental provider, and patients, helping communication and the clinic day run smoothly. You’ll prepare the mobile clinic, assist the provider, enter chart notes for provider review, and organize patient paperwork.Afterward, you’ll cleanup, return the vehicle and equipment to the office, and start sterilization.

The team you’ll join

• Starting pay of $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.

An X-ray license is not required at this time.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
