Periodontal Assistant

Periodontal practice in Albuquerque, NM specializing in periodontics and dental implants. We are professional, focused on caring for our community, and provide a respectful/social office culture. As a Dental/Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our patients and will work closely with the dentist to ensure efficient/smooth operations in the dental office. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work well in a team will contribute to the success of our practice.

Duties:

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare rooms and sterilize instruments/equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, pre- and post-operative care
• Manage patient records, including charting, obtaining current health history, updating care plans and maintaining confidentiality.
• Schedule appointments, help front desk operations efficiently. Handle phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating strong phone etiquette
• Support front office tasks including presenting treatment plans and collecting payments.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure effective communication and patient care.
• Communicate with patients and referring offices in a timely and professional manner

Experience/Qualifications:

• Current NM Dental Assistant/Radiology License required
• CPR Certification preferred
• Bilingual preferred, but not required
• Strong organization skills and customer service experience

Pay rate negotiable, dependent on experience and qualifications
