Pediatric Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Bumble Bee Pediatric Dentistry is Hutto’s dental home for infants, children and teenagers. As a privately owned, single location practice, we’re dedicated to supporting the growth and development of our community through helping our youth thrive. Dental Assistants play an integral role in safety, experience, and connection within our practice. We are hoping to work with a positive, dependable, growth-minded Registered Dental Assistant who is passionate about working with kids and their families.

Pay:

• $16-$25

Office Hours:

• Clinic open: Monday-Thursday 8-3 , Friday 8-2 (note, no formal lunch hour)
• No Weekend Office Hours
• Hours occasionally change for General Anesthesia days

Ability to Commute:

• Reliably commute to Hutto, TX 78634 required
• No travel between offices

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare patients and their guardians for treatment
• Strive to achieve patient comfort through excellent chairside manner
• Chairside assist doctor in procedures and exams (including nitrous, oral conscious sedation and general anesthesia; hospital and in-office settings)
• Manage flow of patient care
• Set up and break down operatories
• Take dental radiographs, intraoral photographs and dental scans
• Maintain and update dental records
• Manage infection control and sterilization within compliance
• Oversee and track lab cases
• Educate patients and families on oral health, dental procedures and after care
• Order and track supplies
• Perform other duties to support office as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active Texas State Board RDA License (1+ years experience)
• X-ray certification
• Nitrous certification (must be listed on TSBDE)
• Sealant certification (must be approved by TSBDE)
• Prophy certification (must be approved by TSBDE)
• CPR/BLS certification (hands on course)
