Patient Care Coordinator

Job-Specific Expectations:

• Welcomes visitors to the practice and provides information about clinic features in a professional and friendly manner
• Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and takes messages as needed
• Verifies all insurance eligibility, receives all insurance co-pay payments, and updates patient accounts.
• Works directly with Dentist and Hygienist in coordinating the desired schedule to fit patients' needs
• Maintains patient care database by entering new information as it becomes available while handling sensitive information with confidentiality
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Coordinates payment arrangements or account resolution
• Receives, stores, and delivers shipments and mail
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
• Drives internal marketing initiatives and fosters participation from everyone

Qualifications:

• Experience in a medical or dental office setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proficient in using electronic systems for data entry, email, and word processing
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a must!
