Orthodontic Patient Care Coordinator

At Aten Orthodontics, we pride ourselves on being one of the few family owned orthodontic offices left. We are looking for the right person that understands the importance of a positive culture and work environment. 1 year of dental office experience is required for this position.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality treatment. This position requires a strong understanding of dental office flow, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Your availability will need to be be Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm rotating between both of our Janesville and Oregon locations. As a part time employee, some weeks you will not be needed all 4 days to ensure plenty of work life balance.

Duties

• Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and coordinating patient flow.
• Manage patient records, including updating medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support both pediatric and adult patients by creating a welcoming environment and addressing their concerns with empathy.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other necessary patient information.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Help with all aspects of the office including sterilization and cleaning rooms, and lab work using our 3D printer.
• Willing to be trained in simple orthodontic procedures and to handle patient emergencies. **Must be ok with some clinical work**

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a dental office setting is required
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and orthodontics is an advantage, as well as experience working with children in a clinical environment.
• Knowledge of medical records management and compliance with HIPAA standards.
• The ideal candidate is someone with a positive attitude, willing to be a team player where needed, extremely reliable/timely and well organized.
