Chugach Dental is an independent, owner led practice in Anchorage. Since opening our doors in 2019, Dr. Adam Jensen and our team have built our practice on a foundation of trust, clinical excellence, and genuine connection with our community. We provide compassionate, individualized, state of the art dental care to families across Alaska. We are looking for an Office Manager who wants to be part of building something that lasts.

About the Role

This is a hands on leadership role with real authority and real accountability. You will partner directly with Dr. Jensen to run the day to day operations of the practice, oversee the systems and implementation, own the financial performance, and protect the patient experience that has earned us our reputation in Anchorage.

This is a role for someone who reads a P&L, has an honest conversation with a team member, and presents a treatment plan with equal confidence.

What You Will Own

Treatment Plan Presentation and Case Acceptance

• Present treatment plans to patients with clarity and confidence, translating clinical recommendations into a plan patients understand and accept.
• Partner with the clinical team on the handoff from operatory to financial conversation, including Overjet supported recommendations.
• Track and improve case acceptance, same day starts, and treatment plan to scheduled conversion rates.

Revenue Cycle and Financial Performance

• Own P&L performance against monthly and annual targets, including production, collections, overhead, and net operating income.
• Oversee billing, insurance verification, claim submission, AR follow up, and patient collections in partnership with our outsourced RCM support (eAssist).
• Manage expenses, vendor relationships, supply ordering, and operational budgets to protect practice margins.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and develop the front office, dental assisting, and hygiene support functions. Set clear expectations, hold team members accountable, and coach for growth.
• Run effective morning huddles, weekly leadership syncs with Dr. Jensen, and individual one on ones with direct reports.
• Partner with Dr. Jensen and Dr. Gimenez on associate integration, schedule optimization, and provider production.

Operations and Patient Experience

• Manage schedule capacity for two doctors and the hygiene department to optimize provider production and patient access.
• Protect the welcoming, calm, professional experience patients expect from the moment they call to the moment they walk out.
• Maintain compliance, recordkeeping, and operational standards across HR, OSHA, HIPAA, and Alaska specific requirements.

What You Bring

• Two or more years of experience as a Dental Office Manager, with demonstrated P&L responsibility.
• Strong working knowledge of dental practice operations, terminology, procedures, insurance, and claims billing.
• Proven track record of treatment plan presentation and case acceptance results.
• Experience with Open Dental practice management software strongly preferred. Familiarity with Overjet, eAssist, or similar tools is a plus.
• Confident with Microsoft Office and comfortable working from data and reports, not memory.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, providers, and team members. Calm under pressure.
• Stable work history and reference checks that match what you tell us in the interview.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare preferred. Equivalent practical experience considered.
