Our practice is equipped with modern technology and clinical resources, including CBCT, digital scanners, CEREC, rotary endodontic systems, and dedicated surgical suites.

As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled General Dentist with advanced proficiency in molar endodontics and complex oral surgery, particularly third-molar (wisdom tooth) extractions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist who enjoys challenging clinical cases and wants to build a highly productive caseload while providing advanced treatment in a supportive general dentistry environment.

Position Overview

In this role, you will diagnose and treat complex restorative, endodontic, and surgical cases while also providing comprehensive general dentistry.

You will serve as the primary clinical provider for advanced molar endodontics and surgical extractions that might otherwise require an outside specialty referral. This provides the opportunity to work with a robust, highly productive caseload from day one.

Key ResponsibilitiesEndodontics

• Diagnose and perform primary and secondary endodontic procedures.
• Treat complex, multi-canaled upper and lower molars.
• Utilize rotary endodontic systems and CBCT technology as clinically indicated.

Oral Surgery

• Perform simple, surgical, and impacted tooth extractions.
• Primary emphasis on partial and full bony third-molar (wisdom tooth) extractions.
• Perform surgical procedures with appropriate attention to anatomy, patient safety, and post-operative care.

Comprehensive General Dentistry

• Provide a full spectrum of general dental services, including:
• Diagnostic examinations
• Operative restorations
• Fixed and removable prosthodontics
• Emergency diagnosis and triage
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on each patient's individual needs.

Surgical Adjuncts

• Perform alveoloplasty, bone grafting, and soft-tissue management when clinically indicated.

Treatment Planning & Patient Care

• Develop and communicate clear, comprehensive treatment plans.
• Educate patients regarding their treatment options and long-term oral health.
• Obtain appropriate informed consent.
• Maintain high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
• Provide comfortable and effective local anesthesia.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records.
• Follow proper infection control and clinical safety protocols.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• D.D.S. or D.M.D. from a CODA-accredited dental school.
• Active and unrestricted North Carolina dental license or eligibility for NC licensure.
• Active DEA license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required if performing sedation.
• Proven clinical experience or completion of a GPR/AEGD residency with significant experience in:
• Complex molar endodontics
• Impacted third-molar extractions
• Surgical extractions
• Proficiency in CBCT interpretation, including evaluation of:
• Airway anatomy
• Inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) and lingual nerve considerations
• Root canal anatomy

Preferred Experience

• Experience with oral conscious sedation is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical judgment and confidence managing complex cases independently.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
