Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled FULL TIME DENTAL HYGIENIST to join our team at our office. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a dental setting and possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, performing assessments, and assisting in various dental procedures. Your expertise will contribute to the overall health and satisfaction of our patients.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
• Administer local anesthesia as needed and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Assist dentists with chairside duties, ensuring a smooth workflow during treatments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and patient management.
• Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a dental office or clinic setting.
• Proficient in using dental software such as Eaglesoft.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry and chairside assisting is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and vital signs monitoring.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients regarding their care and treatment options.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills for accurate record keeping.
