Dental Assistant

Duties

• Assist dentists during endodontic treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
• Take dental X-rays and 3D scans while ensuring proper patient positioning and safety measures are followed.
• Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as TDO ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, materials, and supplies efficiently during procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and assist in medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
• Support patient management by scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and guiding patients through their treatment plans with professionalism and empathy.

Skills

• Proficiency with dental software such as TDO or other patient management software to streamline clinical workflows.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
• Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, i 3D scanners,
• Ability to perform dental instrument processing accurately while adhering to infection prevention standards.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members like dental receptionists while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
• Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 37.0 per week
