Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and confidence.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners are ready for use.
• Take dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
• Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix , documenting medical history, and treatment notes.
• Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Support four-handed dentistry practices by working seamlessly alongside the dental team to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Educate patients on oral health practices using clear dental terminology while addressing their questions with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Uphold HIPAA compliance at all times by safeguarding patient information within medical records and documentation systems.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Registered Dental Assistant in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe practice.
• Skilled in taking X-rays (including digital imaging), operating 3D scanners, and performing dental imaging procedures accurately.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently while maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety.
