Experienced Periodontal Surgical Assistant

We are a growing periodontal and implant specialty practice seeking a skilled, dependable, and personable Periodontal Surgical Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys surgical dentistry, works well in a fast-paced clinical environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate is organized, confident chairside, comfortable assisting with surgical procedures, and able to anticipate the doctor’s needs while helping patients feel calm and well cared for.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist the periodontist during periodontal and implant surgeries
• Prepare surgical operatories, instruments, and materials
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control protocols
• Assist with implant placement, bone grafting, extractions, gingival procedures, sinus augmentation, PRF, and other periodontal surgeries
• Provide suction, retraction, and chairside assistance throughout procedures
• Take radiographs and assist with clinical documentation
• Sterilize instruments and maintain surgical equipment
• Turn over treatment rooms efficiently between patients
• Support the doctor and clinical team to maintain an organized, efficient workflow

What we’re looking for:

• Previous dental assisting experience
• Periodontal, oral surgery, or implant experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate clinical needs
• Comfortable working with surgical patients and complex procedures
• Radiology certification and other applicable credentials preferred

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
