Experienced Orthodontic Assistant

Duties

• Assist orthodontists during various procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency.
• Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, appliance care, and treatment procedures to promote optimal patient care and satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning correctly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Orthodontic Assistant with a strong background in chairside assisting within a dental clinic setting
• Certification in dental x-ray technology
• Deep understanding of infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, ensuring a positive experience.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining clinical confidentiality policies and infection prevention protocols.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
