Nick Le DDS PLLC is a growing, family-oriented dental practice in west Fort Worth, led by Dr. Nick Le. We are a small team that treats patients - and each other - like family. We care for a diverse community of families on PPO and Medicaid plans, and we take pride in making every patient feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for.
We are hiring a full-time Registered Dental Assistant, and we want to be straight with you about the job before you apply.
We work Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM: a four-day week. Saturday is a regular working day here, not an occasional rotation. If Saturdays do not work for your life, this is not the right job, and we would rather you know that now than in week three.
Our clinical team is small, so you will not be one of twelve assistants. You will work right beside Dr. Le, and your chair and your patients will be yours.
Our mission at Nick Le DDS PLLC is to deliver exceptional dental care with compassion and integrity, empowering our patients to achieve optimal oral health and beautiful smiles. We pride ourselves on upholding these core values in everything we do:
- Deliver a fantastic guest experience
- Commit to continuous improvement
- Support one another as a team
- Show respect for each individual
- Adhere to office protocols and guidelines
- Maintain consistency and efficiency in our work
We all share these core values - and so will the next team member we bring on!
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN RDA HERE
You will arrive by 7:55 AM for our 8:00 AM team huddle, ready to talk about your patients for the day. On Saturdays, the RDA team starts at 7:45 with a short meeting. On a normal day you can expect to:
- Assist Dr. Le chairside: fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, implants, dentures and sedation cases
- Set up and turn over your rooms quickly and completely, and keep them stocked
- Take high-quality digital x-rays, from bitewings to full-mouth series and panoramic images
- Work with our digital tools: intraoral scanners (Medit and 3Shape TRIOS) and in-house 3D printing
- Keep sterilization and infection control airtight, every instrument and every time
- Prepare, send and track lab cases, so every case comes back on time
- Write clear, complete clinical notes in Dentrix Ascend
- Help nervous patients feel calm, from kids to grandparents
- Finish the day's, week's and month's clinical checklists with your team
- You will have it in writing from day one. Our RDA onboarding checklist and protocol checklist spell out what "done" looks like, so you are never guessing.
- You will be trained, not thrown in. You will learn our way step by step from the team and Dr. Le, and you will always know who to ask.
- You will grow with the practice. We are adding advanced work, including implants and implant-supported dentures, and the right RDA grows into it with us.
We are not looking for someone to fill a chair. We are looking for the RDA Dr. Le cannot do a procedure without.
- You take pride in a room that is set up right the first time
- You stay calm, and keep your patient calm, when a procedure runs long
- Sterilization is a standard you hold yourself to, not a chore
- You speak up when something is not right - a missing instrument, a lab case that did not come back, a patient who looks unwell
- You are organized enough that a checklist is a relief, not an insult
- You are on time, every time. A small clinical team feels every late arrival
- Saturdays work for you
- Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certificate (it is what lets you take x-rays in Texas)
- Current CPR/BLS (if yours needs renewing, we provide it at no cost)
- Availability Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, every week
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Preferred, but not required
- At least one year of chairside experience (strong newer RDAs are welcome to apply)
- Texas nitrous oxide monitoring, coronal polishing and/or pit-and-fissure sealant certificates
- Implant, surgical or sedation assisting experience
- Intraoral scanner experience (Medit or 3Shape TRIOS)
- Dentrix Ascend experience (we will train the right person)
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a real plus - many of our families speak Spanish
- Full-time, four days a week: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Saturdays from 7:45 AM)
- Pay: $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience
- Paid time off, accrued for full-time staff after the 90-day trial period
- 6 paid holidays per year for full-time staff
- Monthly bonus opportunity for full-time staff after the 90-day trial period
- Employer-provided OSHA and HIPAA training
- Hepatitis B vaccination available at no cost
- CPR/BLS certification provided at no cost
Apply through Indeed with your resume. In place of a cover letter, please answer this one question in your application:
Tell us about a patient who was nervous or upset in the chair, and what you did.
We read every one of these, and it matters more to us than the rest of the application. If it is a fit, we will call you for a short phone interview, followed by a paid working interview in the office.
Nick Le DDS PLLC is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
