Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, oral surgery, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection control protocols.
• Take Dexis digital dental X-rays to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient care and procedure efficiency.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and relaxation.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment using aseptic techniques and proper infection control procedures.
• Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records accurately.
• Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate seamless communication within the team.
• Utilize advanced tools such as 3D scanners and digital X-ray equipment to enhance diagnostic capabilities in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or pediatrics.
• Utilizing utero scanner for Invisalign and fixed restorative
• Fabricating Temporary crowns

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
• Proficiency with Dentrix
• Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices related to dental care.
• Ability to perform Digital X-ray procedures accurately
• Experience assisting crown and venner procedures and fabricating temporaries
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
• Being able to multitask and help in front and back

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
