Duties

• Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming environment for all visitors
• Explain treatment options clearly, answer questions, and assist patients in understanding procedures and costs
• Manage patient scheduling using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software to optimize appointment flow
• Verify insurance benefits, submit claims, and communicate coverage details effectively to patients
• Coordinate with dental providers and staff to ensure timely delivery of treatments and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate patient records while strictly adhering to confidentiality policies and health regulation standards
• Facilitate financial arrangements by providing estimates, processing payments, and discussing financing options when applicable

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong knowledge of health regulation policies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software or EMR/EHR systems
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person
• Knowledge of health insurance procedures, billing practices, and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in typing, data entry, and record keeping
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
