Dental Receptionist/Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic while providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
• Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
• Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and answer any questions they may have.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the front desk as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.

Skills

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

• Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, including Endodontics and Prosthodontics.
• Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly valued.
• Ability to take vital signs accurately when necessary.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
• Competence in X-ray techniques and safety measures.
• Strong understanding of infection control standards within a dental setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
