Dental Receptionist

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency
• Schedule appointments using dental clinic management software and coordinate provider calendars
• Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy
• Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) specifically Open Dental
• Review documentation for completeness and accuracy in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations
• Answer phones with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear communication and appointment confirmations
• Support clinical staff by managing dental records, filing documents, and performing data entry tasks.
• Maintain health information management standards and ensure compliance with HIPAA

Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
• Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone communication and office etiquette
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate medical records
• Prior dental clinic experience not required; training will be provided for specific software tools

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
