Dental / Oral Surgery Assistant

Overview:

We are a dental specialty/ Periodontist Office: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. Need to be licensed as a Dental Assistant in Washington DC ( Level 2).

We have a strong focus on high quality patient care and experience so the ideal candidate must have a professional demeanor.

Duties include:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures

- Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by handing instruments, maintaining suction, and providing patient comfort

- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)

- Perform dental charting and documentation

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment using aseptic techniques

- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health systems

- Proficient in assisting with oral surgery and periodontal dental procedures

- Proficient in using Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software

- Knowledge of aseptic technique for infection control

- Ability to operate medical imaging equipment for intraoral and extraoral radiographs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
