Dental lead assistant

Overview

As a Dental Lead Assistant, you’ll help keep clinical care organized, safe, and patient-focused. You’ll coordinate chairside support, guide daily clinical workflows, and help the dental team deliver consistent care across general dentistry and specialty procedures. Your impact: Accurate preparation and clear patient communication help patients feel informed while enabling clinicians to focus on care.

Duties

• Lead chairside assisting, including four-handed dentistry, and support pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
• Prepare and maintain dental equipment, instruments, and a 3D scanner; perform dental instrument processing and sterilization using aseptic technique and infection control procedures.
• Support dental X-rays and other medical imaging, record vital signs, and follow healthcare infection prevention and control practices.
• Coordinate patient management software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including Eaglesoft maintain medical records and documentation in line with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Help manage patient flow and reception tasks, applying dental and medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and a patient-care focus.

Experience

• Dental assisting and dental clinic experience, with strong chairside assisting skills.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment, X-ray procedures, and medical documentation.
• Experience with EMR systems or patient management software; Eaglesoft familiarity is preferred.
• Demonstrated infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and infection control practices.
• Patient-focused communication and organization; dental receptionist experience is helpful.

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
