Dental Hygienist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient care through preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting oral health, delivering high-quality care, and ensuring a positive experience for every patient. This private practice operates on a fee-for-service basis, emphasizing personalized, patient-centered treatment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
• Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately in patient records.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
• Provide patient care that is focused on individual needs, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout treatment.
• Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Schedule follow-up hygiene appointments and coordinate patient care plans effectively.
• Stay updated with the latest dental hygiene techniques and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in Illinois.
• Proven experience in providing patient-centered dental hygiene services.
• Strong knowledge of oral health, preventive dentistry, and infection control standards.
• Excellent communication skills to educate and engage patients effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality care with attention to detail.
• Dentrix and Dexis experience preferred, but not required

Mon: 7-1

Tues: 7-3 and 11-7

Thurs: 7-3

Fri: 7-1
