Dental Hygienist

Job Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Conduct professional dental cleanings and support dentists during procedures
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Capture and process dental x-rays
- Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants as needed
- Perform oral cancer screenings
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols
- Assist in managing dental emergencies effectively

Skills:
- Proficient in HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Experience working in a dental office environment
- Familiarity with Opendental or similar dental software for efficient record keeping
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices to cater to younger patients
- Ability to carry out medical imaging tasks accurately
- Comfortable working with pediatric patients with a gentle approach
- Strong patient assessment skills for personalized care
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques for seamless assistance during procedures
- Understanding of dental clinic operations to contribute effectively
- Familiarity with Open Dental software is advantageous
