Dental Hygienist

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. This role primarily serves our dental office in Quakertown, PA.

Job Type: Part-Time (2-3 days a week)

Requirements:

• Licensed Dental Hygienist (PA license required)
• Prior clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and removal of plaque and calculus
• Conduct oral health assessments and document findings in patient charts
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as prescribed
• Screen patients for signs of periodontal disease, oral cancer, and other oral conditions
• Assist the dentist in diagnosis by providing clinical observations and documentation
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and preventive care
• Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants
• Review and update medical and dental histories
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Monitor supply inventory and report needs for clinical materials
• Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable state dental board regulations.
