Schedule: Monday–Friday | Office hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

About the Opportunity

National Dental is looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team in Commack, NY!

We're looking for a hygienist who enjoys building relationships with patients, providing quality preventive care, and working alongside a supportive dental team.

Our practice offers a single-column hygiene schedule with 60-minute routine recall and prophylaxis appointments, giving you the time to focus on patient care without feeling rushed.

What You'll Do

• Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
• Perform periodontal assessments, charting, and appropriate diagnostic imaging.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and periodontal health.
• Collaborate with dentists and clinical team members on patient treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection control protocols.
• Provide compassionate, professional care to patients with a variety of insurance plans, including PPO and Medicaid.

Requirements

• Active Dental Hygiene License in New York

• Local Anesthesia Certification (if applicable by state) 

• Current CPR/BLS Certification 

• Strong communication and patient education skills 

• Commitment to quality patient care 

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment 

Preferred

• Laser Certification 

• Experience with assisted hygiene models 

• Experience in PPO, Fee-for-Service, and/or Medicaid environments 

• Experience with periodontal therapy 

• Experience with patient education and treatment acceptance 

• Bilingual skills
