Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive treatment.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and vital signs.
• Perform dental cleanings and scaling to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
• Take and interpret medical imaging as needed for diagnosis.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide care for pediatric patients, ensuring a comfortable experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
• Strong patient assessment skills to evaluate oral health effectively.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures within a dental office setting.
• Familiarity with dental terminology and practices.
• Ability to monitor and record vital signs accurately.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Experience or interest in working with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to educate and interact with patients effectively.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
