Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding of dental health.
• Review medical records and document treatment details accurately while ensuring compliance with healthcare infection prevention standards.
• Manage infection control protocols, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment following OSHA guidelines.
• Support patient care by assessing needs, answering questions, and providing compassionate communication throughout visits.

Experience

• Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
• Hands-on experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft for managing electronic health records (EHR). preferred
• Demonstrated ability to perform dental x-rays (X-ray) safely and effectively while adhering to radiation safety standards.
• Expertise in infection prevention management, including sterilization techniques and aseptic procedures.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients about their oral health effectively.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
