We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and terminology. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on providing exceptional oral health services, including pediatric dentistry and general dentistry. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in patient education, assessment, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and documentation.

Duties

• Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review.
• Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays using appropriate aseptic techniques.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to prevent cross-contamination.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness; assist in medical coding for billing purposes.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license with current state licensure.
• Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to perform vital signs measurement and medical imaging accurately.
• Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse patient populations, including pediatrics.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, medical records management, and documentation review processes.
• Experience with dental assisting tasks like chairside assisting and supporting dental procedures is a plus.
• Experience with digital scanners and intraoral cameras
• Experience with clear aligners process is a plus

Pay: $53.10 - $75.00 per hour
